i recorded this song while on the "let's get sad tour" in nashville. my nashville date got cancelled, i had an extra day, so i hung out at phoenix for a day and made this song.

this song is about how stupid parties are and how sometimes your friends date guys who are dicks. sorry for the language mom.

on everything i release i do this, but for real, joey burcham is the best human being on the planet. without him, none of this would be possible, working with him and seger in the studio was some of the most fun i've ever had making music. if you need mixing/mastering and you don't hit up phoenix you're doing it wrong. those dudes rule.

also just wanna shoutout aaron geldert for coming over to my place and tracking the trombone part in my laundry room. it sounds so fucking dope and he's a rad dude.
