anyways, this whole covid shit really sucks huh? so i texted my friends jacob and kevin and asked them if they wanted to record some shit for fun and then i’d just mix it and put it up here for free because that’s how i used to roll back in the olden days (a year ago).

so here it is: “november”, a song we used to play on tour but never got around to recording, and then “sweater song”, a song by weezer that we played at probably every gig we ever did. i played guitar and sang, kevin played bass and sang, jacob played drums, and then i mixed and mastered it and i’m not very good at those things so please don’t judge it too much! if anything i think it just sounds like what we sounded like live, which was just 3 guys trying to make noise. i hope you like it.

on a serious note, my life has really changed a lot this past year moving all the way to the uk, and because of that the music i make has changed a lot. while i’m in a much different phase of my life now, i really appreciate everyone who was apart of the tyler plazio punk rock band phase of my life. it was a time that i will certainly never forget, and i hope it meant as much to you as it meant to me. while that is 100% impossible, it’s a nice thought i suppose.

on another (more) serious note, i wanted to do something to support all of the movements going on both in the united states and the world, but i am just one broke college kid, so, if anybody gives us any money at all for this, i’ll just donate all of that to black lives matter, although i would encourage you to just listen to these songs for free, and just donate directly to them here:

at the end of the day, all i ever want to do is make music, and although i didn’t reach the levels i hoped to with this music, i did have some of the most gratifying moments of my life with it, and for that i thank you.

i always say this, but i feel it now more than ever: if you want to make a record, you should just fucking do it. borrow your parents’ laptop with garageband, buy an iRig, record into fucking voice memos if that’s all you’ve got, and just put it out. if you feel passionate about it, i guarantee you someone else in that big wide fucked up world will feel passionate about it too.

the world needs art more than ever now.

don’t listen to the fuckers who tell you you can’t.
